My Dear Cousin,
Am I again writing to you without seeing you, how often have I looked for you and been disappointed. I have tried several times to go to see you, but could not get off. I would have gone with Cousin Gran, but we were expecting Brother John. He came Tuesday after he left here. He as quite anxious to visit you, but his business was so pressing he could not remain here any longer. He wrote to me that his efforts to collect were to no purpose and much to his disadvantages.
Cousin Gran thought if I have gone home with him I could a school there. If he can do any thing for me I will go down. I have been teaching by the month but now I am not anxious to teach that way. If you think I can do any thing there please let me know soon. If I had any one to go with me I would go now. Sister Tishie says she has looked for you so often & been fooled that she wants you to come on. She says tell Cousin Henry she did not think he would want to go to fight the war, as he could not go without getting up. The children look very well.
May & Pa's health is some better now. Will is with them now. Ma wrote to me a few days since that Jenny would be confined soon. Not married. Mammy like. They had been at Cousin Williams some time. They like his wife very much.
My love to all the family. Sister Tishie and Brother Tom send their love.
Ever your true cousin,
Mag
