Born to Robert Wesley McClure (1843-1908) of Alabama & Elizabeth Emma Ann Gose McClure (1847-1916) of Virginia, who married on Dec. 14, 1869, in Paris, TX. Lydia's middle name is her paternal grandmother's maiden name, Callaway.

Lydia married Alexander Boyd Sandefur on August 5, 1900, in Paris, Lamar County, TX.
