Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Haltom City for Walter Alvin McClure, 84, who died Wednesday in a hospital. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington.
McClure, a native of Fannin County, resided at 2939 Field in Haltom City.
McClure and his wife, who died in January, lived many years in Wellington, where he was in the diary business. During his last years, he made wooden puzzel blocks and gave many sets to the primary departments of churches throughout the area.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Augustus A. Watts of Hurst and Mrs. G. W. Poteet of Haltom City; a sister Monnie Vaughan of Soper, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren..

He was married 28 Nov 1909 in Paris, Lamar County, Texas to Bertha Lillian Moore. She preceded him in death in 1973.
